Army forces are upgrading their arsenal to provide long range precision fire, which will harness surface-to-surface deep-strike capability to neutralize and suppress mobile enemy targets on the battlefield. Achieving this , however, will require integrating fire across multiple theaters and platforms -- no easy task considering the variety of air and missile defense systems currently in use. Consequently, Army leaders are calling for new tactics, techniques and procedures to inform and adapt missile integration for the battlefield. In this panel, audiences heard from operators and missile defense officials on the challenges to fire integration, as well as their ongoing work on the Integrated Air and Missile Battle Command System that will unite previously separate systems.
